Members of the Decontamination Element of the Ohio National Guard FEMA Region V Homeland Response Force (HRF) prepare to help decontaminate each other in the mobile decontamination station, July 23, at Camp Atterbury, Indiana. The Decontamination Element of the HRF took part in a simulated disaster training exercise at Camp Atterbury called Vibrant Response. Vibrant Response is a multi-agency training exercise that brings together military and civilian personnel from around that country. During the week-long event, multiple training events are conducted, including simulated mass decontamination operations. After a certain period of time, all members of the HRF who are in protective suits are required to go through a decontamination station in order to remove their protective suits.
