A Soldier with the Ohio National Guard FEMA Region V Homeland Response Force (HRF) works to don a protective boot, July 23, in Camp Atterbury, Indiana. The boot is part of a Soldiers overall protective suit that will help protect them from any hazards that may be in the environment around them. The Soldiers and Airmen of the FEMA Region V HRF took part in operation Vibrant Response, a training exercise that brings together more than 5500 military and civilian personnel from around that country. During the week-long event, multiple training events are conducted, including simulated mass decontamination operations. (Ohio National Guard photo by Sgt. Brian Johnson.)
