Two Soldiers with the Search and Extraction element of the Ohio National Guard FEMA Region V Homeland Response Force (HRF) check their air quality meters prior to use, July 23, in Camp Atterbury, Indiana. The air quality meters are used to help aid casualty rescue teams by letting them know about the quality of the air around them as they attempt to rescue any potential casualties. The Soldiers and Airmen of the FEMA Region V HRF took part in operation Vibrant Response, a training exercise that brings together more than 5,500 military and civilian personnel from around that country. During the week-long event, multiple training events are conducted, including urban search and rescue missions. (Ohio National Guard photo by Sgt. Brian Johnson.)
