Members of the Peruvian media gather around U.S. Marines with Special Purpose Marine Air Ground Task Force South at a static display to hear about the light armored vehicle aboard the future amphibious assault ship USS America (LHA 6), Aug. 31, 2014. The tour consisted of multiple static displays showcasing the assets and capabilities the Marines and Sailors bring to the ship. The media attended the tour after participating in a press conference held on the ship’s flight deck. The press conference gave the media the opportunity to speak with the ship’s command and Peruvian officials.
