Marines with the Logistics Combat Element of Special Purpose Marine Air Ground Task Force South speak about the light-weight water purification system to Peruvian Marines at a static display during a tour aboard the future amphibious assault ship USS America (LHA 6) in Peru, Sept. 1, 2014. The tour consisted of multiple displays showcasing the capabilities the Marines and Sailors bring to the ship. During the ship’s port visit, the Marines and Sailors also participated in a key leader engagement with Peruvian diplomats and military officials and an evening reception held in the ship’s hangar bay.
