Spc. Spencer B. Gordon, a Merritt Island, Fla., native and infantryman for Company B, 2nd Battalion, 503rd Infantry Regiment, 173rd Airborne Brigade removes weeds to make way for Jakob Westholmi Gumnaasium’s school playground Aug. 16 in Tallinn, Estonia. Gordon and nine other paratroopers from Company B joined students, parents and staff members to clear land and spread topsoil to expand the school’s playground. The service project was an opportunity to contribute to the local community supporting the 173rd Airborne and their participation in Operation Atlantic Resolve, dedicated to demonstrating commitment to NATO obligations and interoperability with allied forces.
