As part of the Chief's Call to Indoctrination (CCTI), potential chief petty officers from Chesapeake, Va., participate in the historical beach apparatus drill at the Chicamacomico Life-Saving Station Historic Site and Museum on Hatteras Island, N.C., Aug. 26. The CCTI was established as a traditional right-of-passage through networking and team building to ensure efficiency as part of the chief's mess.
