Sgt. Daniel Hoffman, a native of New Prague, Minn., who serves as a fire support noncommissioned officer with Delta Company, 1st Battalion, 12th Infantry Regiment, 4th Inf. Brigade Combat Team, 4th Inf. Division, looks through a long distance laser rangefinder to get measurements for an upcoming artillery shoot south of Kandahar Airfield, Afghanistan, Aug. 22, 2014. The event provided training for the 1-12 Inf. as well as allowed 2nd Battalion, 77th Field Artillery Regt., 4th IBCT, 4th Inf. Div., to register their M777A2 howitzers, which were recently brought to KAF from Forward Operating Base Pasab.
