Col. Joseph Martin, a native of Dearborn, Mich., commander, 2nd Brigade Combat Team, 1st Infantry Division, Multi-National Division - Baghdad, prepares to speak at the re-opening ceremony of the Shawaka Fish Market in the Karkh District of northwest Baghdad, Feb. 18. The fish market closed following the start of the Iraqi War and ensuing violence on nearby Haifa Street. Through efforts by the United States Agency for International Development and Dagger brigade Soldiers, the market is once again serving its traditional delicacies to the residents of Baghdad.
