Marines with 1st Platoon, Company B, 1st Reconnaissance Battalion hike their way through tough mountainous terrain at the Black Rapids Training Site, Fort Greely, Alaska, August 8, 2014. The Marines of 1st Platoon hiked about 10 miles through terrain similar to this, gaining more than 5,000 feet in elevation and making their way back down over a period of two days.
