Marine Veteran Staff Sgt. Robert Cole, Sgt. Jose Diaz, and Sgt. Aaron Houran (from left) practice the quick, rise, and go drill during the first day of camp. Marines and Marine Veterans from the Wounded Warrior Regiment participate in a track and field training camp in Portland, Ore. from August 18-22, 2014. The camp is a part of the Wounded Warrior Regiment's Warrior Athlete Reconditioning Program (WAR-P), which provides opportunities for Marines to engage in both physical and cognitive activities outside the traditional therapy setting. Training sessions include practical application through short and long distance running, throwing, swimming, and conditioning which builds endurance and develops the skills they learn.
