Marines and Marine Veterans were welcomed to the Nike World Headquarters in Portland, Ore. at the start of their track and field training camp, taking place August 18-22, 2014. The Marines are part of the Wounded Warrior Regiment and are participating in the Regiment's Warrior Athlete Reconditioning Program (WAR-P), which provides opportunities for Marines to engage in both physical and cognitive activities outside the traditional therapy setting. Training sessions will include practical application through short and long distance running, throwing, swimming, and conditioning which builds endurance and develops the skills they learn.
