    Spc. Alexander M. Poulds, a Santa Cruz, Calif., native, and health care specialist for Troop C, 1st Squadron, 91st Cavalry Regiment, 173rd Airborne Brigade rests on an airfield tarmac while waiting to advance to the next checkpoint during the second annual Admiral Pitka Recon Challenge near Tapa, Estonia Aug. 8. Poulds and three other paratroopers from Troop C participated in the challenge that featured 26 four-person teams from six countries. The three-day event tested the teams’ abilities through a series of obstacles and scenarios along an 81-mile course through Estonia’s countryside. Paratroopers with the 173rd Abn. Bde. are deployed for training in Estonia as part of Operation Atlantic Resolve, an exercise dedicated to demonstrating commitment to NATO obligations and sustaining interoperability with allied forces.
