Spc. Juan Santiago, a National Guard Soldier from Friona, Texas, does his PCC's and PCI's prior to a mission on Jan. 20. With the help of his truck commander, Staff Sgt. Enrique Rodriguez, a Killeen, Texas, native, Santiago went step by step through the Army Field Manual to ensure the proper operation of their vehicle. They checked all of the fluid levels, made sure the tires were properly inflated and within specifications for tread depth and checked the fuel level. They also ensured all safety equipment was present and operational and that all of the lights functioned. Both Soldiers are currently deployed with Echo Company, 949th Brigade Support Battalion, 553rd Combat Sustainment Support Battalion, 10th Sustainment Brigade in support of Multi-National Division – Baghdad.
