Backed by an Iraqi and joint-U.S. color guard, Maj. Gen. James F. Kelly, right, and Sgt. Maj. W.N. O'Connell of the I Marine Expeditionary Force (Forward) case their unit's colors during a transfer of authority ceremony aboard Al Asad Air Base, Iraq, Feb. 9. During the ceremony, Kelly transferred command of Multi National Force-West which oversees Coalition efforts in Iraq's Al Anbar province to Maj. Gen. R.T. Tryon and his Marines from the Camp Lejeune, N.C.-based II MEF (Fwd).
