USS Nashville Sailors pass out life vests to Senegalese marine biologists before boarding one of Nashville's Rigid Hull Inflatable Boats. The local marine biologists are working with Africa Partnership Station and the National Administration for Oceanic Observation. USS Nashville is deployed as a part of APS, an international initiative developed by Naval Forces Europe and Naval Forces Africa, which aims to work cooperatively with US and international partners to improve maritime safety and security in Africa.
