Brig. Gen. Peter Bosse, commanding general of the 87th United States Army Reserve Support Command (East), hangs a streamer on the 87th USARC (E) guidon distinguishing the unit as a recipient of the Army Superior Unit Award during a ceremony in the Battle Projection Center building at the Hanson Army Reserve Center in Birmingham, Ala., Aug. 10. The unit received the ASUA for their meritorious service in support of operations Iraqi Freedom, Enduring Freedom and New Dawn. The 87th USARC (E) provides training support during and after unit deployments for approximately eight brigades and 33 battalions throughout the eastern United States.
