Seaman Nick Cortinas prepares for the jump from a rigid hull inflatable boat to the pier in Dakar, Senegal. The RHIB brought line handlers to prepare for the arrival of USS Nashville. Nashville is deployed as a part of APS, an international initiative developed by Naval Forces Europe and Naval Forces Africa, which aims to work cooperatively with U.S. and international partners to improve maritime safety and security in West and Central Africa.
