U.S. Air Force Senior Airman Christian A. Downen of the 182nd Security Forces Squadron, reunites with family and friends after arriving home at the General Wayne A. Downing Peoria International Airport in Peoria, Ill., Aug. 6, 2014. He and 17 Illinois Air National Guardsmen deployed to Southwest Asia for seven months in support of Operation Enduring Freedom. They were assigned to the 405th Expeditionary Security Forces Squadron overseas, where they were responsible for law enforcement and security missions in the regions global war on terror.
