Marines enter the War Memorial of Korea July 17 in Seoul, Republic of Korea. Prior to beginning Korean Marine Exchange Program 14-12, Marines visited prominent sites in South Korea to learn more about the history of their ROK Marine counterparts. KMEP is a regularly scheduled, small-unit training exercise that enhances the ROK and U.S. alliance, promotes stability on the Korean Peninsula, and strengthens interoperability between ROK and U.S. Marines. The Marines are with Combat Assault Battalion, 3rd Marine Division, III Marine Expeditionary Force. (U.S. Marine Corps photo by Lance Cpl. Diamond N. Peden/Released)
