U.S. Marine Lance Cpl. Daniel O. Doxie, a Chico, California, native, looks into North Korea July 17 at the Dora Observation Post in the Demilitarized Zone, Republic of Korea. Marines with Combat Assault Battalion, 3rd Marine Division, visited historical sites in South Korea prior to participating in Korean Marine Exchange Program 14-12. KMEP is a regularly scheduled, small-unit training exercise that enhances the ROK and U.S. alliance, promotes stability on the Korean Peninsula, and strengthens interoperability between ROK and U.S. Marines.
