Republic of Korea Staff Sgt. Lee Dong Hwan, left, and U.S. Marine Cpl. David J. McDonald tie dynamite to a main detonation cord July 23 during demolitions training at Susungri Range, Pohang, Republic of Korea, as part of Korean Marine Exchange Program 14-12. ROK and U.S. Marines followed all safety procedures while testing fuses and handling explosives. During KMEP 14-12, ROK and U.S. Marines worked together to complete a series of field in preparation for a combined arms live-fire exercise. Hwan is a combat engineer with 7th Company, Engineer Battalion, 1st ROK Division. McDonald is a combat engineer with Combat Assault Battalion, 3rd Marine Division, III Marine Expeditionary Force.
