Matt Valenzuela of the 172nd Stryker Brigade 1-17 Infantry Battalion writes the coordinates of a home where an illegal rifle and ammunition was found as he prepares to tag and confiscate the weapon Aug. 18, 2006 during a cordon and search mission of a Baghdad neighborhood during Operation Forward Together II. The rifle is considered an illegal item and was confiscated. The operation is a joint effort between U.S. Army and Iraqi Army to help clear homes and buildings in the city of Baghdad from weapons and other contraband and illegal items that could be used by insurgents to harm local Iraqi citizens and coalition forces.
