Senior Airman Augustus Williams, a 379th Expeditionary Civil Engineer Squadron Electrician, replaces the ballast of a light fixture, Jan. 14, in an undisclosed location in Southwest Asia. A ballast is a device used to limit the amount of current in an electrical device, they are used when the unit itself cannot regulate its own current consumption. Airman Williams is native to Augusta Ga., and is deployed from Pope Air Force Base, N.C. in support of Operations Iraqi and Enduring Freedom and Joint Task Force - Horn of Africa.
