Sgt. Anthony Broccolo, a Soldier with the 649th Engineer Company, 579th Engineer Battalion, 49th Military Police Brigade, operates a Motor Grader at the Sgt. 1st Class Isaac Lawson Memorial Park. Lawson, a Desert Storm veteran, was killed by an improvised explosive device while serving in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom in Baghdad June 5, 2006. At the time Lawson was deployed with his unit, Headquarters and Headquarters Company, 49th Military Police Brigade “It’s nice to get to work on something this important,” Broccolo said.
