U.S. Marines of Special Purpose Marine Air-Ground Task Force Crisis Response board for departure from Moron Air Base, Spain, July 19, 2014. SP-MAGTF Crisis Response is a rotational unit tasked with providing rapid response to U.S. Africa Command for the protection of U.S. personnel, property and interests. From January-July 2014, the Marines and sailors of 8th Marine Regiment carried the mantle as SP-MAGTF Crisis Response, aiding in the defense of American embassies abroad and strengthening partnerships with European and African armed forces.
