    Construction Mechanic 2nd Class (SCW) Andrew Thompson, a member of the Naval Mobile Construction Battalion Two Five (NMCB 25) Convoy Security Element (CSE) mans the turret in a Mine-Resistant Ambush Protected vehicle during a convoy. The CSE is responsible for the security and safety of NMCB 25 personnel when traveling outside the wire. Members of NMCB 25 are in Afghanistan performing train and assist and partnering operations to develop and sustain the specialty and general engineering capabilities of the NEB in order to provide critical engineer skill sets to the government of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan.
