Josefa Muñoz, University of Guam biology major, Daniel McKay, UOG assistant professor, and Cacilie Craft, community volunteer, monitor Mariana fruit bats flying around the Tarague Basin on Andersen Air Force Base, Guam, July 3. More than 100 volunteers from the base and local community gathered for the first large-scale monitoring of the threatened species to help determine the population.
