Gov. Pat McCrory, North Carolina National Guard’s commander in chief, signed the Senate Bill 761 at the NCNG Joint Force Headquarters in Raleigh, N.C., July 10, 2014. The bill is an act to enhance the effectiveness of the occupational licensing of military service members and veterans and direct the Board of Governors of the University of North Carolina and the State Board of Community Colleges to submit a plan that will ensure that college credits are uniformly granted to students with military training.
