Service members from Combined Joint Task Force - Horn of Africa conduct civil affairs missions in areas of western Kenya which were racked by post election violence earlier this year. Soldiers from Civil Affairs Team 4, Delta Company 412th Civil Affairs Battalion, Special Operations, work with local villagers and Kenyan government officials to rebuild schools burnt down in the worst of the violence. The children at the Geta primary school greet the U.S. civil affairs team as they drive up to the school to check on the progress of the contracted workers.
