Cadets from the local school districts participate in the Leaders Reaction Course here, June 18 to practice in leadership skills in an unfamiliar environment and giving them an opportunity to experience living and interacting with their peers from other schools in a military situation. The cadets worked together to move the metal can over the poles without falling into the water by developing strategies. Several of the cadets were able to get across. The event teaches the cadets teamwork and cooperation said retired Lt. Col. Joseph Merlo who serves as the JCLC camp logistics officer and the Ellison High School’s senior Army instructor.
