Cpl. Daniel H. Grant hasty rappels down a clay slope during the jungle endurance course June 20 at the Jungle Warfare Training Center on Camp Gonsalves, Marine Corps Base Camp Smedley D. Butler, Marine Corps Installations Pacific. The endurance course is the final event of the weeklong Basic Jungle Skills Course. Grant is a Detroit, Michigan, native and mortarman with 1st Battalion, 8th Marine Regiment, which is currently assigned to 4th Marines, 3rd Marine Division, III Marine Expeditionary Force, under the unit deployment program.
