U.S. Army Maj. James Nelson, 71st Theater Information Operations Group, tosses a tape ball to a local Dominican boy near the site of a new U.S. military-built clinic at Vicente Noble, Dominican Republic, June 21. The clinic was one of three built during the three-month joint military humanitarian exercise, which also included the building of new classrooms at La Guazara and Pescaderia and free medical services at local hospitals. Dominican Republic's 5th Infantry Brigade, stationed at Barahona, and the 1st Infantry Brigade, stationed at Santo Domingo, as well as military representatives from Canada, Chile, Brazil, Colombia and Peru were also activley involved in the mission.
