U.S. Navy chaplain Lt. Tung Tran, from Corpus Christi, Texas, boards an MH-60S Seahawk helicopter, assigned to Helicopter Sea Combat Squadron (HSC) 21, on the flight deck of the amphibious assault ship USS Peleliu (LHA 5) to hold Catholic mass on the amphibious dock landing ship USS Rushmore (LSD 47). Peleliu and Rushmore are scheduled to participate in exercise Rim of the Pacific (RIMPAC), a large multinational Naval exercise. Peleliu is the command ship for the expeditionary strike group and is scheduled to conduct a follow-on deployment to the 7th fleet area of responsibility.
