U.S. Marine Corps Maj. Raymond Scott, a pilot with Special-Purpose Marine Air-Ground Task Force, presents Spanish Navy Rear Adm. Pedro Garcia de Paredes Perez de Sevilla, commanding officer of the amphibious group, a plaque aboard the Spanish amphibious assault ship Juan Carlos I (L-61) during a bilateral carrier qualification, June 18, 2014. This was the first time the American tiltrotor aircraft landed on the Juan Carlos I – one of Spain’s newest warships. Training with their host nation partners allows the Marines to maintain proficiency in their core skills while also developing the integration skills essential for future operations.
