Children celebrate after beating U.S. service members in a tug of war competition June 13 during a visit by Marines to Ohira Manyo Kindergarten, Sendai, Japan. During the visit, the service members learned how to make a traditional rice paste known as mochi, participated in outdoor games, and shared some American culture with more than 200 children. The service members are with Battery C, 1st Battalion, 10th Marine Regiment, currently assigned to 3rd Battalion, 12th Marines, 3rd Marine Division, III Marine Expeditionary Force, under the unit deployment program.
