The guided-missile cruiser USS Lake Erie (CG 70) returns to Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam from a four-month deployment to the western Pacific. Lake Erie is expected to replace the guided-missile destroyer USS John Paul Jones (DDG 53) this summer as a rotational ballistic missile defense deployer from San Diego.
