Iraqi army soldiers and Iraqi national police officers salute the Iraqi national flag after it was raised above Joint Security Station Salamiyat, west of Baghdad, Jan. 1. The raising of the flag symbolizes the transition of control of the JSS from coalition forces to the Iraqi security forces. Under the Security Agreement, all combat operations are now combined operations between ISF and coalition forces.
