Paratroopers from 1st Battalion, 501st Infantry Regiment, 4th Infantry Brigade Combat Team (Airborne), 25th Infantry Division and Airmen from the U.S. Air Force parachute onto Malamute Drop Zone on Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson, Alaska, as part of a joint forcible entry exercise June 7, 2014. One-Geronimo and the Airmen were later airlifted to Allen Army Airfield at Fort Greely, Alaska, to participate in the JFEX where both services trained together on airfield seizure operations and wide area security as part of the Spartan Brigade’s certification as the Army’s Contingency Response Force for the Pacific Theater.
