U.S. Navy Lt. Franklyn Oguno, Battalion Landing Team 1st Battalion, 6th Marine Regiment, 22nd Marine Expeditionary Unit (MEU), battalion surgeon, checks a patient’s vitals aboard the USS Bataan (LHD 5), at sea, June 6, 2014. Bataan, with support from Marines and Sailors with the 22nd MEU, rendered assistance to 282 persons in distress at sea in the Mediterranean after receiving a report of a sinking small vessel.
