The 1st Infantry Division commanding general, primary staff, garrison, brigade, and battalion commanders participated in a 70th Anniversary D-Day Remembrance Run, starting at the Cavalry Parade Field on Fort Riley June 6. The run was part of several historical vignettes commemorating the men and women of the 1st ID who landed on Omaha Beach, in Normandy, France, 70 years ago today during the D-Day invasion.
