Petty Officer 2nd Class Rob Simpson, 1st U.S. Coast Guard District based in Boston, shows Surinamese Navy Korporal Martoimedjo Roberto a recorded interview he taped on June 5. Simpson interviewed Robero about small boat operations and maneuvering drills he performed as part of Tradewinds 2014's maritime law enforcement training. Tradewinds is a joint, combined, exercise conducted in conjunction with partner nations to enhance the collective abilities of defense forces and constabularies to counter transnational organized crime and to conduct humanitarian/disaster relief operations.
