Seaman Alexandrea Thomas from Station Honolulu explains her role in search and rescue aboard a 45-foot Response Boat – Medium to a group of students visiting Station Honolulu as part of the National Summer Transportation Institute June 3, 2014. Sixteen students from local high schools participated in the first NSTI program aimed at educating students about a variety of career options in the transportation industry.
