Lt. Col. Toby Moore (left), the Commanding Officer of Marine Attack Squadron 311, hold the Lawson H.M. Sanderson Award, which is awarded to the Marine Attack Squadron of the Year. VMA-311 deployed to Camp Bastion, Afghanistan and provided uninterrupted aviation support during 2013. The squadron also deployed a detachment of Marines to the 15th Marine Expeditionary Unit.
