Jose Navarro May 28 during a visit to Forward Operating Base Shank in Afghanistan 10th Mountain Division (Light Infantry) May 28. The visit was part of a program called Operation Proper Exit which allows current and former soldiers wounded in combat an opportunity for closure as they recover from injuries incurred during previous deployments to Afghanistan.
