A wounded warrior fires a grenade launcher as a Spartan Soldier with the 2nd Battalion, 87th Infantry Regiment of the 3rd Brigade Combat Team, 10th Mountain Division (Light Infantry) provides guidance on the weapon's operation during a visit to Forward Operating Base Shank in Afghanistan May 28. The visit was part of a program called Operation Proper Exit which allows current and former soldiers wounded in combat an opportunity for closure as they recover from injuries incurred during previous deployments to Afghanistan.
