While giving remarks at a retirement home for Memorial Day, Col. Daniel Harmuth, Region IX Chief of the 76th ORC Regional Emergency Response Preparedness Liaison Office, met retired Sgt. 1st Class Theodore "Ted" Scheer, a WWII veteran who served with the 76th Infantry Division in the Battle of the Bulge. On Feb. 1, 2013, the 76th Operational Response Command inherited the lineage and honors of the historic 76th Infantry Division.
