Staff Sergeant Alexis Wallace, aircrew flight equipment technician assigned to the 379th Expeditionary Operations Support Squadron, inflates a life preserver unit 10/P using an air hose as part of a leak test Dec. 14, at an undisclosed air base in Southwest Asia. These EOSS members are responsible for ensuring pilots have proper and operational equipment in case of an emergency evacuation. Sergeant Wallace, a native of Fayetteville, N.C., is deployed from Pope Air Force Base, N.C., in support of Operations Iraqi and Enduring Freedom and Joint Task Force-Horn of Africa.
