Cmdr. John Kropcho III departs the Los Angeles attack submarine USS Jacksonville at the end of his 24-year Navy career. Kropcho is relieved as Jacksonville's commanding officer by Cmdr. Tyler Meador during a combined change of command and retirement ceremony aboard the boat at Naval Station Norfolk. Jacksonville recently returned from its first deployment in five years.
