U.S. Army 1st. Lt. Jacob Cook leads his Soldiers while patrolling the Udaim River Valley. U.S. Army Soldiers from the 1st Battalion, 24th Infantry Regiment, 1st Stryker Brigade Combat Team, 25th Infantry Division and Iraqi soldiers from 2nd Battalion, 19th Brigade, 5th Division conduct a foot patrol search of the Udaim River Valley for enemy weapons caches and transport routes, Dec. 12. This joint operation called Hammer Pursuit III is intended to stop the trafficking of weapons in the Diyala province, Iraq.
